In Artists > [artist] > Settings > Press kit you assemble the material you share with clients, venues, and the press. You can build a press kit directly in Artwin Live or refer to an existing storage location.
The press kit has its own shareable link. With a built-in press kit, recipients can view the files and folders, download individual files, or download the entire press kit at once.
Choose how you present the press kit
At the top, you can choose between Create press kit and URL (Dropbox/Drive). You always use one of these two methods for the press kit link.
- Create press kit is used to upload and organize files in Artwin Live. The files are displayed on the Artwin Live press kit page.
- URL (Dropbox/Drive) is used when the material is already stored elsewhere. Enter a full HTTPS link to, for example, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, or another online storage service. The press kit link then directs straight to that external location.
Always check the sharing rights for an external link with the storage service. Anyone who receives the press kit link must be able to access the files without you needing to grant access separately.
Adding files in the editor
Choose Create press kit to open the editor. First, select the folder you want to work in, then click in the upload area, or drag files to the upload area. New files will be added to the selected folder.
Use the press kit for, for example, press photos, logos, technical documents, bios, audio files, videos, and downloadable documents. A ZIP file can also be added; its contents will be processed as separate press kit files when possible.
Folders and overview
Root is the main folder of the press kit. With Add folder, you can create a folder next to Root, for example, Press Photos, Logos, or Technical. Click on a folder to view only the files from that folder.
- Use the pencil next to a folder to rename or delete the folder.
- If you delete a folder, the files in that folder will not be lost: they will move to Root.
- Switch between list view and tile view at the top right. The tile view is especially useful for quickly recognizing image files.
You can rename or delete a file with the pencil. Drag a file to another folder to move it there. Changes to files and folders are automatically saved in the editor.
Storage limit: 250 MB
For a press kit that you create in Artwin Live, a maximum of 250 MB of storage space is available. Keep the material compact: for example, use web-optimized photos and videos, and remove outdated files.
If your press material is larger than 250 MB, or if you want to continue managing large video and photo files from your own storage, then choose URL (Dropbox/Drive) and share a folder or page from Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, or another storage service. The storage limit of Artwin Live will not apply to the files in that external location.
What recipients see
The built-in press kit shows the files and folders you assembled in the editor. The basic presentation comes from the artist profile: profile photo, artist name, short description, biography, and web links. Manage that information via Settings > Profile.
When you use an external URL, the press kit link opens the external storage location. The layout, available downloads, and any access requests will be determined by Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, or the other chosen service.
Good to know
Only share material that can be used externally. A press kit is intended to be forwarded. Therefore, do not place internal documents, unreleased photos, or files with confidential information in the built-in press kit or in the shared external location.
