A budget forms the foundation of your booking. Using predefined budgets helps you save time, work consistently, and create new bookings faster, especially for artists with standard fees. A budget includes the artist’s fee, booking costs, purchase costs, and settings to automatically calculate items such as copyright royalties (BUMA).
Where to find budgets
Budgets are managed per artist:
Here you’ll find all budgets linked to this artist. You can create as many as you need, for example: For different show lengths, setups (solo/duo/band), or price categories.
The first budget in the list is created automatically and is referred to as the default budget.
This budget is automatically loaded when creating a new booking for the artist. In a booking, you can always switch to another budget later via Deal → Load deal.
Budget structure
Each budget consists of three parts:

Click Edit next to the deal to open its settings.

Deal type
The deal type determines how the artist’s fee is displayed on the contract and invoice:
Calculation method
The calculation method determines how the budget is structured:
In an All-in deal, you can directly enter the total amount and VAT rate.
Terms field
Use this field to include additional terms or conditions. This text will also appear on the contract.
Booking costs
In the second section, you can define the booking costs.
This can be either a fixed amount or a percentage of the all-in amount or purchase total.
Note: For an All-in deal, a margin may already exist between the fee and purchase cost.
If you also add booking costs, they will be added on top of that margin.
Copyright royalties (BUMA)
Set how copyright royalties should be handled:

Withholding tax (WHT)
Use this option for international bookings where a withholding tax is applied in the performance country (for example, in Germany). This amount is deducted from the deal to cover local tax obligations.
Riders
You can link a rider to each budget. If you’ve uploaded multiple riders in the artist’s profile, you can select the appropriate one for each budget, for example: for different show setups.
Team members and external purchases
Add team members or external purchases that are part of the budget. This allows you to specify which part of the fee is allocated to a specific team member or supplier. If your artist is non-exclusive, you can record this as a general external supplier/purchase.
When you assign a fee to a team member with view or manage access (but not admin rights), that person will only see their own fee. These purchases are not shown on the contract or invoice and are only used for internal margin and cost tracking.
Additional costs
Additional costs are expenses outside of the standard deal and are still displayed on the contract and invoice.
