Smarter region and tour planning with the renewed Region Check in Artwin Live

When planning shows, it’s not just about availability. Distance, exclusivity and routing logic all play a role. A booking may fit your calendar on paper, but still cause issues due to travel time, regional agreements or inefficient tour planning.

That’s why we have completely redesigned the Region Check in Artwin Live. What used to be mainly a distance check has now evolved into a standalone tool that helps you verify bookings, protect exclusivity and even analyse complete tours.

In this article, we explain what has changed and how to use the new Region Check in practice.

One tool for distance, exclusivity and tour logic

The renewed Region Check is now a dedicated workspace within Artwin Live. From a single screen you decide which bookings are relevant and how strict the control should be.

You first define the period you want to check. This can be a number of days around a specific date or a full period with a start and end date. Next, you set the distance in kilometres within which the check should take place. Miles will be added soon.

To speed up your workflow, you can store default values in your account settings, such as maximum radius and the number of days before and after a show to check.

You also decide which bookings are included. You can choose to show only confirmed bookings or include options as well. It’s also possible to show only public events, so private bookings don’t create noise in your checks.

Instantly see where the risks are

Once you run the check, the Region Check doesn’t just show which bookings fall within the radius, it also highlights potential conflicts.

For example, you can see:

  • bookings on the same date, even outside the region
  • bookings within the selected distance
  • bookings with regional exclusivity

You can also draw a circle around each booking on the map. This makes it visually clear where overlaps occur and where there is still room.

This prevents situations where you only discover afterwards that a new booking is too close to another show or violates exclusivity agreements. Especially for artists with many festival shows or club tours, this provides planning confidence in advance.

From region check to tour control

The biggest step in this update is that the tool is now also suitable for tour analysis.

By leaving the location empty and only selecting a period and distance, you can display all bookings on the map. If you then enable the option to draw circles around each booking, you immediately get a visual overview of your entire tour.

This allows you to:

  • spot gaps in a tour
  • see in which regions additional shows could fit
  • check whether your routing makes sense
  • identify where extra promotion might be valuable

For agencies and managers working with longer tours, this transforms Region Check from a control tool into a strategic planning instrument.

More certainty when booking

With this renewed approach, Region Check better matches how agencies actually work. Instead of manually checking locations or keeping Excel sheets next to your calendar, the control now happens directly inside the same environment as your bookings.

You instantly see whether a new show fits logically, whether it introduces risks and where there is still room in the schedule. This makes it easier to make faster decisions, without surprises afterwards.
