E-mail settings, setting up your domain and sender addresses

Through Account settings > Email settings you determine how emails from Artwin Live are sent. You can set your own email domain, add extra sender addresses, and use a footer.

Sending from your own domain

Turn on Enable sending from this email domain. Enter the name that recipients see as the sender and the email address of your domain that you want to use for sending. Save the settings. Send the verification email using the button on this page and confirm the email address via the link in that email.

Setting up DKIM and SPF

After confirmation, Artwin Live will show the DKIM and SPF records for your domain. Add these as TXT records with the party that manages your domain's DNS. Copy the name and the full value of each record as they appear under Email settings. Use the information from your own screen; the records of another domain will not work for your domain.

  • DKIM confirms with a digital signature that an email has been sent on behalf of your domain. Add the displayed DKIM record with the full key.
  • SPF indicates which mail servers are allowed to send on behalf of your domain. Add include:artwinmail.nl to your domain's SPF record. If there is already an SPF record, modify that existing record instead of creating a second SPF record to ensure that your other allowed mail servers remain intact.

DNS changes may take time to become visible. Open Email settings again and check if Artwin Live indicates that both the DKIM and SPF record are correct. Without the correct records, emails from your domain may not be delivered.

Extra email addresses

Under Extra email addresses you can use Add email address to register multiple senders, each with their own name and email address. For example, you can use a general address and an address for invoices. These addresses are intended as senders of emails you send from Artwin Live.

You can only use extra addresses as senders after you have confirmed the main address and your domain has been verified with DKIM and SPF. The extra addresses must have the same domain as the set sender address. An address from another domain cannot be used as a sender from this domain.

Sender per email template

In Account settings > Email templates you can specify who the sender is for each template. Choose the desired sender address for that template there. If you want to use the same address for all template emails, you can select an address under Sender address for templates in Email settings under Overwrite sender address. Select Use email address per template to use the individual choices per template.
