Some events start late in the evening and run past midnight. For example: a club show starting on Saturday night (20 September) at 23:00 and ending Sunday morning (21 September) at 05:00.
By default, Artwin Live uses the actual performance date. That means a show at 02:00 will be entered on Sunday 21 September. For many users this feels impractical, as the show is still part of Saturday.
That’s why we’ve added the In the night setting in Account Settings → Calendar Preferences.
How does it work?
You can define until what time a show should still be linked to the previous day.
Example:
Without In the night: a show from 00:00–06:00 shows on Sunday 21 September.
With In the night set to 06:00: the same show appears on Saturday 20 September.
Note: this does not change the date on contracts or invoices, it only affects how gigs are displayed in Artwin Live.
iCalendar (Apple, Google and Outlook) with In the night
External calendars don’t apply the In the night setting by default. To enable it, use the iCal URL with the time-offset parameter. Be aware, the offset time is equal to the time entered for 'in the night' (06:00 means the calendar will offset the bookings by 6 hours back).
Each calendar app has its own way of displaying events, so views may differ.
