With the MCP connection, you link Artwin Live to ChatGPT or another compatible AI client. MCP stands for Model Context Protocol: a way for an AI client to request data from Artwin Live and, if you grant access, to perform certain actions. You use the connection from the AI client by giving a question or command in plain language.
The MCP connection is a beta feature in Account Settings > Live Labs. The account owner enables MCP Connection there and selects Save. You can then find the MCP Server URL under Account Settings > Integrations and AI > MCP Connection.
Linking an AI Client
- Enter the MCP Server URL in the MCP settings or integrations of your AI client.
- Log in to Artwin Live when prompted.
- Check on the screen Link Artwin Live MCP what access the AI client is requesting. Choose Grant Access only if you want to grant that access. You don’t have to copy a token.
The requested access depends on the AI client. The permission screen shows what this connection is allowed: view artists, view bookings and availability, view booking requests, and potentially create and modify booking requests. If you want different rights, adjust the requested access in the AI client and link again.
Linking with ChatGPT
Use ChatGPT in your browser. Open Plugins, choose the plus sign, and then Add custom MCP server. Give the connection a name, fill in the MCP Server URL of Artwin Live, and choose the login option. Log in to Artwin Live and check what access is being requested. After adding, you can select the connection in a conversation or call it by its name.
For a personal connection with read-only actions, you need ChatGPT Pro. With this, you can request artists, schedules, and requests, for example. If you want to create or modify booking requests via ChatGPT, you need a ChatGPT Business or Enterprise/Edu workspace. In Business, an administrator or owner adds the MCP server and publishes it for the workspace. In Enterprise/Edu, an administrator can also grant specific users permission to create a connection. The administrator determines which members and actions are available. ChatGPT Free, Go, and Plus currently do not offer a general option to add this custom MCP server directly.
Linking with Claude
Open in Claude Customize > Connectors, choose Add, and add a custom connector. Give it a name and fill in the MCP Server URL. Choose to log in with your Artwin Live account and use, if Claude asks for it, the published OAuth identity of Claude. Complete the login and the permission screen of Artwin Live. Activate the connector in a conversation via the plus sign by the message and Connectors.
This can be done with Claude Free, Pro, and Max; on Free you can add a maximum of one custom connector. For Claude Team and Enterprise, an owner must first add the connector for the organization under Organization Settings > Connectors. After that, each user connects their own Artwin Live account via Customize > Connectors.
Linking with Grok
Go to grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector, and then Custom. Fill in the MCP Server URL of Artwin Live and go through the login and permission process. After that, Grok can use the available Artwin Live actions in a conversation.
According to Grok, connectors are available to all users, even with a free account; a paid subscription is not required for this. Paid subscriptions provide higher usage limits. If you are using Grok Business or Enterprise, a team administrator must first add the custom MCP server in the management environment. Team members can then connect their own Artwin Live account.
The subscription terms and menu names of AI services may change. These steps were checked on October 19, 2026.
Access for Agents
An account owner can grant an agent permission to create their own MCP connection on behalf of the account. Open the agent's access and enable the Allow MCP Connection option under Permissions. An agent set as an account owner already has this permission. The agent logs in themselves when linking and also confirms the requested access. Permission for one account does not automatically grant access to other accounts. If you revoke permission for an agent, their MCP connections for that account are revoked.
What Data is Shared?
The AI client receives data when it makes an allowed request to Artwin Live. What data that may be depends on the granted access and the question:
- View Artists: artist data such as description, biography, images, press kit, and riders.
- View Bookings and Availability: schedule, booking status, date, time, location, and data needed for an availability check. Booking details may also include private appointments, customer and contact information, and notes.
- View Booking Requests: data from requests including event, artist, location, customer, contact person, and, in the details of a request, the specified budget.
- Create and Modify Booking Requests: the data you provide via the AI client for a new request or for modifying an existing request is sent to Artwin Live.
This MCP connection does not provide access to invoices or financial data from existing bookings. Please note that data requested by the AI client or that you enter in conversation also ends up in that AI client. Therefore, check the privacy settings and data policy of the AI client you are using.
What Can You Ask or Have Done?
- “Which artists are in my account? Give me the biography and press kit of this artist.”
- “Which bookings and options are scheduled for this artist next month?”
- “Is this artist available on Saturday at 10:00 PM in Utrecht? Consider travel time.” Provide the date, time, and location for reliable checking.
- “What new booking requests have come in? Summarize the details of this request.”
- “Create a booking request for this artist on this date and time, at this location.” This can only be done if you granted access for creating requests.
- “Change the location or time of this new booking request.” This can only be done if you granted access for modifying requests and the request still has the status New.
Via MCP, the AI client makes a booking request, not an option or booking. A request can then be further processed in Artwin Live on a computer. An agent can only modify a new request that they themselves created; the account owner can modify new requests from this connection. Check important details before allowing the AI client to create or modify a request.
Revoke Connection
Go to Account Settings > Integrations and AI > MCP Connection. Under Active MCP Connections, select Revoke Connection for the connection you want to terminate. An agent can see their own active connections there. After revocation, that connection can no longer request new data or execute commands.
Good to Know
This is a beta feature. The operation and availability may change during the testing period.
You remain in control. Check the requested access before linking and revoke a connection as soon as you no longer use it.
