Getting started

Getting around Artwin Live

Artwin Live has several navigation elements that are almost always visible: the left menu, the top bar, the artist list and the account menu. Together, they provide a consistent way to get to your daily work. Once you know what each element does, the right page is usually only one or two clicks away.

The top bar: back, forward, history and search

At the top left of the content area, you will find four important tools. Use the left arrow to return to the previous page and the right arrow to move forward again. These arrows follow your navigation within Artwin Live.

The clock next to them is your quick history. Click it to reopen recently visited, important pages. This is particularly useful when you have briefly moved to another booking, artist or relation and want to return quickly without searching again.

The clock stores up to ten recent destinations in your browser, separately for each account you use. It records, for example:

  • an opened artist;
  • a booking or event;
  • a relation;
  • a sales or purchase invoice;
  • a completed search.

It is not a complete activity log. General lists, settings and every individual tab within a page are not stored as separate history entries. An artist or booking history item takes you back to its main view, so you can continue quickly.

Next to the clock is the global search. Click Search, or press Cmd-K on Mac and Ctrl-K on Windows, to find artists, relations, bookings and invoices. See the article about searching in Artwin Live for all search options.

The left menu: your work areas

The left menu is the main structure of your workspace. It opens the areas where you view, create and manage your daily information. The items you see depend on your subscription, enabled features and permissions.

  • Dashboard: your starting point for items that need attention and current information.
  • My bookings: the bookings you are responsible for, when this feature is available for your account.
  • Planning, Day, Month and Region: different views of availability, bookings and possible regional conflicts.
  • Requests: incoming and outgoing booking requests and availability requests.
  • Tasks: outstanding work and follow-up.
  • Relations: people, businesses and contact details.
  • Artists: your complete artist overview and settings for each artist.
  • Bookings, Events, Invoices, Purchases and Insights: your agency’s operational and financial overviews.
  • Labs: additional features that may be available in beta.

Use the left menu when you want to move to a work area. Use search when you already know the specific artist, relation, booking or invoice you need.

The artist list in the sidebar

The Artists list appears below the menu. By default, it shows the exclusive artists connected to your account. You can also mark other artists as favourites so they remain in this quick list. This is useful when you regularly work with a non-exclusive artist.

On the Artists page, use the star to decide whether an artist appears in this list. An exclusive artist is shown by default, but you can hide it if needed. Use the same star to add another artist as a favourite. This keeps the sidebar as a personal shortcut to the artists you work with most often.

When the list contains more than ten artists, a Filter by name… field appears. Type a name to narrow down the list. Press Enter when the artist is not shown to open the global search results straight away.

Click an artist name to open the artist. Hover over an artist in the list to reveal quick actions for that artist’s Dashboard and Year view.

The page tab bar

Above the content, you will see the page title and, where relevant, a tab bar. Tabs split one work area into logical parts. For example, Requests can show Incoming, Requested and Availability. A booking or artist has its own set of tabs.

Use the tab bar to switch views within the same subject. You remain in the same work area, but view another part or stage of the process. The active tab is highlighted.

Quick actions at the top right

At the top right, you will find actions you use frequently. The booking shortcut opens a new booking directly. The magic wand opens Text to booking when this feature is available for your account. The plus button opens the create menu, where you can create items such as a booking, relation, invoice, task or artist.

You will also find the magnifying glass for search, the bell for notifications and the inbox for requests. A badge on the bell or inbox indicates new notifications or outstanding requests.

The question mark opens help for the page you are currently viewing, when a help article is available for it.

The account menu

Click your profile image or initials at the top right to open the account menu. The top of this menu shows the account you are signed in to. If you have shared access to multiple accounts, use the account switcher at the top left of the sidebar to switch between them.

Depending on your permissions, the account menu includes:

  • User profile: details for your own user account.
  • Account settings: agency-wide settings, such as users, permissions, templates, security and other account preferences.
  • Widgets: management of website widgets, calendars and booking forms that you can display outside Artwin Live.
  • Log out: securely ends your session.

An account owner or agent with the appropriate permissions sees more settings than a team member. Permissions therefore determine not only what you can change, but also which menu items are visible.

Support, chat, help and changelog

Use Support in the account menu to open the Artwin Live help environment. Choose Chat to start a conversation with support directly. The Changelog provides an overview of changes and new features.

Use the question mark at the top right when you need help with the page you are viewing. Use Support or Chat for a broader question, or when an article does not answer what you need.

Good to know: menus and buttons can differ per user. Artwin Live only shows items that are available for your account, role and enabled features.
